Susan Colasanti home page Susan Colasanti is from upstate New Jersey in a more rural area. After living in this area for a long time, she was bored with the rural life and started dreaming about what she could have. Thats when writing all started for her. In seventh grade her science teacher really inspired her to become a teacher and thats what she set out to do and just have writing on the side. When she was in high school she was an outsider because kids made fun of her nerdy writig ways and how conentrated she was. During high school she read some of the most interesting books shes ever read and those were the authors that inspired her the most. When she got to college she got her masters in teaching and was a science teacher in upstate New York. She wrote two of her books while teaching and soon after she realized it's almost immposible to write and teach at the same time. Then Susan left teaching for writing as she discovered it was her real passion. She feels that she reaches more teens writing then she ever would teaching. Susan loves giving back to the community and does many volunteer works to support that. She works at numerous camps for kids with AIDS because she feel everyone should be treated fairly.
